the staff!

I'm moving to the North Pole. Oh gosh... summer in Peterborough is hotter than I remember it. It's been 40 degrees this week. In other not-so-sweltering news....

I am EMPLOYED!!

Yes, I started with the Bridge this morning. I am staff... but you have to say it like stahf... (rhymes with "off"). Chris Jardin (thirdspace intern) and I will be most likely splitting an office. This officially makes us the coolest kids in school.

Okay. It is time to watch Palestinian films now. I'm being antisocial on the internet.

sunburnt.

Well that's it ladies and gents... my first ouchie sunburn of the season... it was inevitable. I am 'lergic to the sun. Lame.

So, I was up north at the River... the River is close to Washago Ontario and is my grandma's property. I hung out with ze cousins... my cousins are frickin rad.

I'm tired guys. I need to sleep. I will try to0 post something of substance tomorrow. In the meantime... this is des's puppy in a shirt. srsly.

oh sunday.

Hey all. I've broken into the downstairs apartment (ie: des= inhabitant) and I'm taking over the entire internet... I sort of miss the internet. Though to be honest, I waste a lot less time without it. It's sort of freeing... i just miss the instant access to information. The find myself reaching for google... alas.

So I've been to the Thirdspace and been the Vegan with Toast already this morning. I swear... breakfast always involves everyone else eating fried meat and eggs and crepes and cheese and stuff... and me eating toast and jam. That being said, it was damn good toast.

So... I feel really lazy right now. I think I am going to do some dishes, clean up my apartment and maybe (just maybe!) have a super Sunday nap. I swear... there is power in the sunday nap.

Ahem. Preach it :: POWAH in the SUNDAY NAP!

at the library.
I am wasting time at the la-la-library. I actually think that I'm going to fire off a resume or three, print them off and hand them out. I'm a little bitter about that... I mean, c'mon grant people... I have rent to pay in a couple of weeks.

So I join the ranks of hundreds of students passing out resumes now. I will give resumes to Burger King, ICT and Tim Hortons. I have no reservations. I mean, I want a good job that I'll like. I just don't have the luxury right now. I hope I can get a job. If you pray, fire one up for me.

I also have to busk today once I am finished handing out resumes... I need money for bus fare. This is a little lame. If I make it through this season, can I be a real adult with a capital A?

but I love the ducks more.

I am SO funemployed. I know, I know... I desperately need income, but the whole wake up at ten with no plans except adventuring thing is definitely grand. It reminds me of summer when I was little... nothing but playing allllllll day long.

So, I went to the Silverbean with Chris and Dahn, and drank soy smoothies. I also cut Chris's hair into a mohawk and meandered around town in the sunshine. Tomorrow I'm making a movie and writing a sermon. Also... what is a healthy thing to feed ducks? Bread makes their tummies explode. I love ducks... I love explosions too. But I love ducks more.

An alternative is needed.

a post from the darkness!

Life without internet is so... full of time. It amazes me how much time I have to play outside when I no longer have the ability to compulsively check livejournal. I am so... DISCONNECTED. Wierd.

teehee.

So, I just busked for a couple of hours downtown. So I'm feeling pretty hoarse. There's a feast going on in my backyard this afternoon at the rather hippy-ish hour of 4:20. I really like my new apartment. It's big and pretty airy. Karolyne is pretty rad and her friends all smell like patchouli. And we eat miso soup and seaweed salad for breakfast... beats coco-puffs if you ask me.

And I am at perfect heckling distance from Desiree. My bedroom window is above her front door. Muahahahahaha.

Internet is expensive. So I will probably not be fully connected for another month or so. In the meantime I will utilize the joys of Haaseltons soy lattes with a side of internet access. Much love world.

Moving Day.
Well, I'm about to have three boys help me move my stuff up the stairs to my new apartment. Expect a bit of a blackout on this blog for a few days while I get my internet and phoneline figured out. I think I'll be pretty much unreachable for a bit, unless you approach my new (front!) door with a plate of vegan brownies, speaking softly (no sudden movements) then I may timidly emerge.

I dont really like moving days. They emo me right the hell out. It has nothing to do with distance (an upstairs move is not far, I'm aware). It's more along the lines of the fact that moving is a process of erasing yourself from a space. I don't like the feeling.

But whatever. I have a new apartment. I have a livingroom, a new cat (pumpkin) and a new roommate to live with. New, new, new. New is good.

To Bethune Street apt. lower - It's been great. Thanks Des. Later Cats, small and otherwise.
To Bethune Street apt. upper - to our future!
